origin
This is one of my University projects. I created this app (in theory) from start to finish.

The fast fashion industry accounts for approximately 10% of global carbon emissions and generates over 92 million tonnes of waste each year, making it one of the most environmentally damaging industries worldwide.

Origin was created to address this issue by increasing transparency and awareness around how clothing is produced. The app allows consumers to clearly understand what materials are used, where they come from, and the environmental impact behind each garment.
Through simple, intuitive visuals, Origin presents key information in an accessible way. Features include interactive toggles that compare traditional production methods with updated, more sustainable alternatives, reflecting changes made to comply with emerging green-claims legislation. An energy-equivalent indicator translates production impact into relatable terms, helping users grasp how much energy is required to produce a single garment.
By using Origin, consumers can trace the origin of their clothing and make more informed, responsible purchasing decisions. The app is designed to simplify sustainable choices for everyday shoppers, encouraging a shift toward greater accountability, transparency, and a more sustainable future for fashion.
